“This is so short — you could easily read it in the time it takes to fly from Paris to Rome — but this tale of one woman’s (ill-fated) trip to possibly Italy (it’s never really revealed) has a disturbing, jarring, hypnotic rhythm to it that’s almost obsessive in quality. I’d love to see the movie version, starring Liz Taylor and with, apparently, an appearance by Andy Warhol.”
