THE ESSENTIALS

Roman Coppola, Director/ Producer
1. Billingham bag

The great classic English camera bag. I use one for my camera and one as a briefcase – they will last forever.
2. Angora Watercolor 36-color set
I try to bring these with me whenever I travel.  Great palette of colors.
3. Marini shoes

I had a pair of these made to measure and it’s true what they say about handmade shoes, they last forever.
4. Blackwing 602 pencils

What needs to be said about these legendary “half the pressure twice the speed” pencils that has not been said

already? (Note: A nice campion is a Dux glass inkwell pencil sharpener.)
5. Battistoni suits
I try to get a new suit or two each year and to pay a visit to my friends at Battistoni in Rome.

Everything about the shop is perfect, from the art on the walls to the warmth of Mr. Battistoni and Peppino.
6. Green/cyprès scent Rigaud candles
These candles have a very distinctive and appealing scent.  I remember them as a kid and the smell brings

back pleasant memories.
7. Mickey Mouse watch (vintage)
I got mine in New Orleans.  It brings a smile to most peoples faces, especially kids.  This watch ticks very loudly

so it’s a great conversation starter.
8. Chowards scented gum
This, of course, is a legendary flavor of NYC.
Whenever I take the subway I try to buy a pack.

9. Heinz pickle pin
Goes very nicely on the lapel. These were premiums given out at the world’s fair years ago.
10. Canvas Tretorn tennis sneakers
Very comfortable and light-weight.  When I first saw The Dickies perform, Stan Lee stepped off the stage

and onto my table wearing these shoes. Enough said.
